Institute for the Built Environment
The Institute for the Built Environment (IBE) has been fulfilling its commitment to fostering a sustainable built environment through its work on the Poudre School District's high performance school initiative. LEED is a high performance building rating system administered by the US Green Building Council (www.usgbc.org)

IBE is coordinating the sustainable renovations of classrooms in Guggenheim Hall. Begun as a class project, this project is notable for its student, faculty and staff involvement. IBE has considered appropriate lighting, acoustics, comfort, health and technology to creat positive teaching and learning environments that are also ecologically and socially responsible.
