1.

 

Select advisor in consultation with Graduate Program Coordinator (notify Graduate Student Liaison).

 

As soon as possible. 

2.

 

Select graduate committee in consultation 
with advisor.

 

Before the end of second term.

3.

 

Electronic Program of Study eGS6 available through RamWeb.
The GS6 Worksheet is available here

Under the Graduate Students section of the student's RAMweb account, there will be a link that says, "Enter Your Program of Study (GS6)."

 

Before the end of second term.

4.

 

File HR 100 Form – Application for Human Research Review. For assistance, please contact Professor Bolivar Senior.

 

By 12:00 PM second Thursday of each month.

5.

 

Get your research proposal approved.

 

See your advisor.

6.

 

File GS Form 9A, Petition for Change 
in Committee, if necessary.

 

Whenever committee changes.
Prior to final exam.

7.

 

File GS Form 25, Application for Graduation Form.

 

Graduate School Deadline Dates.

8.

 

Plan A: Thesis defense to graduate committee.
Plan B: Paper presentation to committee.

 

No later than two weeks prior to the GS Form 24 due date.

9.

 

File GS Form 24, Report of Final Examination Results, to the Graduate School. Required for both Plan A and Plan B.

 

Within two working days of thesis/paper defense. Graduate School Deadline Dates.

10.

 

Deposit in Graduate School two unbound copies of signed thesis. For complete information, contact the Graduate School.

11.

 

Plan A - Submit bound copy of thesis to department.
Plan B - Submit copy of professional paper to department.

 

Before leaving the campus.

12.

 

Pay balance of student account  at Cashier's Office, 100 Johnson Hall.

 

Before leaving the campus.

13.

 

Attend Graduation. 

 

Ceremonies are held both fall and spring terms.

14.

 

Receive Diploma from Registrar's Office.

 

Mailed approximately 6-8 weeks after the end of graduation term.
