The Department of Construction Management, Colorado State University in conjunction with the University of Costa Rica, offer a course in Sustainable Design and Construction near Iberia, Costa Rica.

Sustainable Practices – Design and Construction CON 450/INTD450 is a three credit course for students and professionals in landscape design and architecture, construction management, interior design, architecture and other areas.

The course focuses on theories and practices of sustainable "green" building including energy, healthy buildings, natural resources and other environmental issues. Students gain knowledge about best sustainable practices through experimental learning at an internationally acclaimed eco-tourism demonstration site.

The Department of Construction Management, Colorado State University offers a course in Sustainable Design and Construction at the Maho Bay Eco-Resort, a sustainable eco-resort in the U.S. Virgin Islands on the island of St. John.
